Monta on #3 in the FM4 Charts

November 22nd, 2004

Wohooo! Go Go! Right behind "Soundtracks of our lives" and "The Hives". This should increase the airplay of his new and great album "Where Circles begin"

Nice rock concert last friday with the headliner Tobacco who were live even better than on their
album. The supporting acts Simca from Wiesbaden, Germany and
Ladyboy(USA) also rocked. Energy packed into one room. Acoustic stuff. Nice

Enjoy two new drum and bass mixsets by DJ Shroombab, an austrian girl on the paths to international success. She included my favorite Dnb Track this Winter: Calibre & Singing Fats - Drop It Down (Signature) - listen to it in the Bassdrive Mix at approx. 9min

ADDED NEW: Shroombab - FUTURE BREAKZ MIX (Vienna/Austria)

November 2004 (hard dnb, 128 kbps, 57 minutes, 55 MB )

Monta "I'm sorry" entered the FM4 Charts at position #9 and after the massive airplay he's now at position #8. Nice! Here's the Video and here are the rewika label infos.

Check out the Monta website for free mp3s, videos and tourdate information.

Shots of the "I'm Sorry" Video, produced by the great people at jenseide with additional artwork by one member of the slut band.

Right before the upcoming album release of "Where Circles Begin" on the 18th October 2004, Alex and I have pushed the new Monta website online. The design nicely fits the CD-Cover artwork and the features should complete the overall impression of this great german indie pop artist. You can download some mp3s in full quality for preview listening purposes or watch the video of "I'm sorry".

I recently (about 1 month or more ago) got the promo of the new Prodigy album "Always outnumbered, Never outgunned" in my hands … and it keeps getting played on my hi.if ever and ever again … That album just simply kicks everything off the speakers!

Maxim and Keith seem to have quit the prodigy and the remaining gap has been brilliantly filled by various guest appearances such as Liam Gallagher (Oasis), Juliette Lewis (Actress) etc … There were rumors about Peaches and Liam Howlett working together for some nifty tunes, and Liam Howlett even agreed to the rumors, unfortunately adding that work had ended because of the Peaches being to busy promoting their own stuff and tour and so officially nothing came out of it …

Imho, hotride sounds a lot like it was some piece of work with Peaches that had to been filled with other vocals, and this happened to be Juliette. Whether this is true or just lame blabbering, the song is worth a look and you should judge by yourself ;-)

The first single girls sounds very "welcome-back-like" and features typical Prodigy beats from the old days with a fantastic relation to conventional electronic sounds … a very nice way to refreshen up the old electronic style. Apparently, Liam wrote this piece of art in a bedroom in essex, mixed it in london and got the final finish done in New York … All I can say is : right on, Mr. Howlett … this is true art! 10 out of 10.

Note : you should check out the way it is … This track features samples from Michael Jackson's #1 hit Thriller, and it's amazingly funky and fresh … a true connaisseur tip.
